Patricia qualified from the University of Zaragoza (Spain) in 1997 and moved to Scotland, where she worked in a small animal practice for four years. She then completed a four year residency in Small Animal Medicine at the University of Liverpool, gaining the RCVS Diploma in Small Animal Medicine in 2006. After working two years at Liverpool University as a clinician teacher, she joined Davies Veterinary Specialists in February 2008.

"I developed an interest in small animal medicine in my first job and I enrolled in the RCVS small animal medicine certificate. The more I learnt about medicine, the more interested I became in my patients and I decided that this was what I wanted to concentrate on for the rest of my working career. I like spending time with my patients and getting to know them. This working environment allows us to give them the best possible care and there is nothing more gratifying than to watch a very sick patient recover.

My job has helped me to understand how important pets are in people’s lives and that by helping animals we hopefully also help to make people’s lives a little better."
