Richard qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1989 and spent four years in general practice before embarking on a career path leading to RCVS Specialist Status in small animal orthopaedic surgery.

He worked for a year at the Royal Veterinary College, where he studied for his Diploma in Veterinary Radiology and for four years at Cambridge University Veterinary School, where he studied small animal orthopaedic surgery. Richard left Cambridge in 1989 to become head of the orthopaedic service at Davies Veterinary Specialists.

The skill and work ethic of the staff at Davies Veterinary Specialists, as well as the excellent facilities, enable me to fulfil my commitment to the care of animals and support for their owners. The feeling of being part of a close-knit, motivated and friendly team makes this a fantastic place to work.
