RECORDING: Canine Brucellosis in Practice

This practical session will explore how Brucella canis is transmitted, the associated risk factors, and why the disease is no longer limited to imported dogs. We’ll discuss the challenges presented by asymptomatic carriers, the range of clinical signs that may be encountered, and the implications for patient care, team safety and client communication.

The evening will also cover identifying at-risk dogs, current testing approaches, infection control considerations, and practical steps practices can take to protect staff, clients and patients.
