Join Katherine Clarke for an overview of canine brucellosis (Brucella canis) and its evolving relevance in UK practice. This session will cover routes of transmission, risk factors, and why the disease is no longer limited to imported dogs. We will discuss the challenges of asymptomatic carriers, potential clinical presentations, and the implications for both patient management and zoonotic risk. Practical guidance on identifying at-risk dogs, testing approaches, and considerations for protecting staff, clients, and other patients will also be included.
This session is designed to support clinicians in recognising and managing this complex and increasingly important disease.
You must log in or register to make a booking.
