Post Registration Programme Nurses

Your role and responsibilities

The Linnaeus Post Registration Programme is a structured 12-month programme that aims to support new qualified nurses as they transition from student to referral nurse.

You will be given training and support throughout your year as you rotate around core areas of the hospital (wards, diagnostics, theatre) and will have a trained preceptor to offer both pastural and professional advice. In addition to on the job training you will be given five professional development days to help enhance and set you up for a successful career in veterinary nursing career as well as time off the rota to focus on your new skills and to improve your knowledge base.

This is a brilliant opportunity for keen and motivated individuals to develop their nursing skills in one of the largest and most diverse, small animal veterinary referral centres in Europe with a team of over 200 people. We are also known for our pioneering sustainability initiatives within the industry, having gained the Investors in the Environment Green Award and won several awards.

Experience of working in a referral environment is not required as full support and training will be provided for the successful candidates. The successful candidate will be working alongside our team of Registered Veterinary Nurses, Patient Care Assistants, Technicians, Interns, Residents and Specialists to help deliver outstanding care to our patients.

Please note salary of £25,700 is inclusive of working 1:4 weekends.
