Your role and responsibilities

You will be working with one senior Diplomate and one Resident assisted intermittently by our other three board-eligible clinicians who are studying for their exams, dealing with a varied small animal-only medical and surgical  caseload. We have a dedicated Ophthalmology theatre with OPMI Lumera microscope and AMO Whitestar phaco. More importantly we have fabulous colleagues including world-class Diplomate level anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging and Internal medicine teams. The successful applicant will be expected to take part in the out of hours rota with an  on-call commitment of no greater than 1 in 4.

You Will Be  

An experienced clinical ophthalmologist with

  • The ability to hit the ground running in terms of seeing cases
  • The desire to provide the best clinical service to all our patients
  • The ability to work as part of a team and individually
  • Excellent client communication skills

Specific experiences / qualifications / status / citizenship requirements

 You must fulfil the following requirements:

  • Have an excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Maintain a professional and caring approach in all aspects of your work
  • Provide evidence of your Right to Work in the UK.
  • Undergraduate Veterinary Degree
  • RCVS current membership
  • ECVO/ACVO/RCVS Diploma in Veterinary Ophthalmology or Residency trained/Board Eligible
