Award Success for Hertfordshire Animal Hospital

An animal hospital in Hertfordshire is celebrating award successes for eight members of its client care team.

In the past 12 months, Linnaeus-owned Davies Veterinary Specialists in Hitchin has seen seven associates achieve bronze status in the British Veterinary Receptionist Association (BVRA) awards, with one team member achieving the highest gold standard.

The BVRA awards set the industry benchmark and ensure standards are met and maintained throughout the learner’s journey.

Those achieving bronze status are Caroline England, Clare Stevens, Daisy-May Molyneaux, Danielle Harris, Ruth Lock, Vicky Clayton and Dionne Reay-Parish, while Caroline Davison achieved gold.

The BVRA itself is a membership association committed to supporting the role of veterinary nurses through training, education and development.

Ben Orton, hospital director at Davies, said: “It’s an amazing feat for eight members of our client care team to achieve these awards and shows our clear commitment to maintaining the highest possible level of patient and customer care at Davies.”

Meanwhile, there’s further celebration at Davies as Vicky Clayton, a deputy client care manager, has received two further accolades.

Firstly, she has successfully completed her NEBOSH course, which is a health and safety risk assessment qualification, while also winning the annual Linnaeus Health and Safety Award, showing outstanding commitment and leadership in her role.

As part of her award-winning work, Vicky also organised and managed health and safety at Davies, as well as providing assistance to support other practices improve their health and safety standards.

Ben said: “Vicky is a hugely popular member of our team and I congratulate her on her successes. I’m looking forward to continuing to work with her to ensure the safety of our team members, clients and pets.”
