Surgical management of parts of the body other than the nervous and musculoskeletal system
We’re very proud of our highly skilled veterinary Soft Tissue Surgery team. They are extensively trained and experienced in all aspects of their specialised field.
Your pet may be referred directly to the Soft Tissue Surgery team by your general practice vet, or they may be transferred after initial consultation with another specialist team here at the hospital. Following an initial consultation, pets are usually admitted for treatment, although in some cases investigations may be scheduled for admission at a future date.

Davies’ Specialist Veterinary Facilities
Caring for pets during their Veterinary Soft Tissue Surgery & stay at Davies Vets
Kennels: Our wards are split into a short-stay dog ward and a cat ward. Patients who have been under anaesthesia will recover in these wards. We have an isolation room for patients who potentially have contagious diseases, so that they remain separated from other patients in the kennels.
Diagnostics: Our large state-of-the-art equipment enables our specialists to test and diagnose, generally when pets are under anaesthesia. Our diagnostic facilities include an MRI Scanning room with a quiet room and corridor for patients to be situated prior to their diagnostic procedures. All the imagery procured from an MRI and CT scan is analysed in our imaging room just own the corridor. With a quick turnaround from the patient’s diagnostic scanning to evaluation, and then onto surgery in our theatre room if necessary. As part of the imaging and diagnostic department, we also have an X-ray room, endoscopy suite, cardiology and ultrasound spaces.
Theatre Room: Our purpose-built theatre suite at Davies Veterinary Specialists is designed to support a wide range of complex surgical procedures in a sterile, controlled environment. We have multiple fully-equipped operating theatres, allowing us to perform concurrent surgeries while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and patient safety.
Each theatre is fitted with advanced anaesthesia monitoring systems, high-intensity surgical lighting, and specialist surgical equipment tailored for soft tissue, orthopaedic, neurological, and emergency procedures.
