After graduating from Edinburgh University in 2001 Rachel initially worked in first opinion private practice where she developed a keen interest in veterinary ophthalmology.  She was awarded the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2009 and has worked as a referral ophthalmologist ever since.  Rachel completed a residency programme here at Davies in 2020 and became an RCVS Specialist and Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2023.
